Pursuit announced today a brand new partnership with Mountain Park Lodges, welcoming seven unique hotel properties to the company’s growing collection of exceptional experiences and expanding its current offerings within Jasper National Park. Following regulatory Parks  Canada approval, this new partnership will integrate the two companies into one entity that will assume ownership of the portfolio of hotels. With controlling interest, Pursuit will assume operations later this spring.

Located in and around the authentic mountain town of Jasper, Alberta and surrounded by the pristine  Canadian Rockies, the ensemble of distinctive hotels represent one-of-a-kind stays that blend seamlessly with the town’s charm.

“We are inspired by living and working in some of the most beautiful places on earth and welcome Mountain Park Lodges to our growing collection of iconic experiences,” says Dave McKenna, President, Banff Jasper Collection by Pursuit. “We have a 127 year history of operating within these national parks and this partnership exemplifies our commitment to investing in the Jasper community while working diligently to preserve such an incredible place.”

The new partnership will include the Sawridge Group of Companies, created and led by the Sawridge First Nation of Slave Lake, Alberta for Jasper’s Sawridge Inn and Conference Centre.

“This is a partnership of two great companies with deep roots in these mountain parks,” begins John Day, President, Mountain Park Lodges. “This new partnership reaffirms our commitment to building long-term sustainability and growth within the community, while honouring Jasper’s rich history and authentic sense of place.”

“Led by Pursuit with ongoing support from the team at Mountain Park Lodges, this newly created company will continue to deliver an exceptional hospitality experience while showcasing the very best of Jasper,” said John MacNutt, CEO, Sawridge Group of Companies.

The collection of unique properties will complement Pursuit’s current experiences in Jasper National Park, which include; the Columbia Icefield Adventure, Columbia Icefield Skywalk and Glacier View Lodge at the Columbia Icefield, dining and boat tour adventures at Maligne Lake and the recently launched Maligne Canyon Wilderness Kitchen near Jasper.
