Sea Turtle Hatchlings Find Their Way To The Ocean in Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo

Every year, Las Brisas Ixtapa – a hotel in Mexico’s Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo, plays host to a summer filled with sea turtle hatchings. The season kicks off in May and lasts through the summer and into early autumn – and although we are unable to travel right now to witness this phenomena on our own, the hotel team has shared some exciting images and videos of a sea turtle release for us to enjoy!

The hotel holds an official permit from the government allowing them to shelter and release these magnificent animals.

There are 4 main species one can find in this region: Loggerhead (Caguama), Hawksbill (Carey), Leatherback (Laud) and the Green Sea Turtle (Verde).
