Along Vietnam’s picturesque coastline, Mui Ne has earned an international reputation as one of Asia’s premier destinations for kitesurfing. With its sweeping beaches, warm tropical setting, and seasonal winds, this seaside town attracts adventure seekers from around the world.
Now, luxury beachfront resort The Anam Mui Ne is introducing a new way for visitors to experience the destination’s exhilarating coastal atmosphere.
Launching for the November through March season, the resort’s new Windswept Adrenaline Tour combines a scenic Jeep safari, an introductory kite workshop, an expert freestyle demonstration, and a sunset beach picnic into one memorable afternoon.
Designed for travelers who want to experience Mui Ne beyond the resort, the half-day adventure offers an accessible introduction to one of the region’s most celebrated water sports, without requiring previous kitesurfing experience.
Discovering Mui Ne’s Famous Winds
Every year, from November through March, the Northeast Monsoon brings strong, consistent winds to Mui Ne’s coastline. These conditions have helped transform the destination into a favorite among experienced kitesurfers and newcomers eager to discover the sport.
During the peak season, colorful kites fill the skies above the ocean, creating a spectacular scene as riders glide across the water and perform aerial maneuvers.
The Anam Mui Ne’s new excursion is designed to capture this seasonal spectacle while introducing visitors to the coastal landscapes that make the destination so appealing.
“There are times of year when you look out across Mui Ne and the sky seems to come alive with hundreds of colourful kites. It is an extraordinary sight and one of the experiences that defines our destination,” said Peter Ye, Resort Manager at The Anam Mui Ne.
A Coastal Jeep Safari and Hands-On Kite Experience

The Windswept Adrenaline Tour begins at 1 p.m., when guests depart The Anam Mui Ne aboard a private Jeep for an afternoon exploring the coastline.
The first destination is Hon Rom Beach, where travelers can watch kitesurfers riding the waves beneath a sky filled with colorful sails. The stop provides an opportunity to appreciate the sport’s athleticism while photographing one of Mui Ne’s most recognizable coastal scenes.
From there, the adventure continues to Ca Ty Beach for a private, 60-minute Wind Mastery workshop.
Led by certified instructors, the session introduces participants to the fundamentals of kite control using trainer kites on land. Rather than immediately venturing into the ocean, guests learn how to work with the wind and gain an appreciation for the skills required to maneuver a kite.
The workshop is particularly appealing to travelers who have admired kitesurfing from the beach but have never had the opportunity to try it.
Following the lesson, professional instructors demonstrate what is possible with advanced kite-handling skills during an exciting freestyle performance.
“We wanted to give our guests a chance to be part of that spectacle rather than simply watch it from the shore,” Ye explained. “You don’t need any kitesurfing experience to take part, and that’s what makes the tour so appealing.”
Ending the Adventure with a Sunset Beach Picnic
After an afternoon devoted to wind, waves, and coastal exploration, the tour changes pace with a private Wind-Downpicnic on the beach.
Guests can relax beside the ocean and enjoy refreshments as the afternoon light fades, providing a peaceful contrast to the energy of the earlier activities.
The excursion concludes with a return to The Anam Mui Ne at approximately 6 p.m., leaving the evening free for dinner or relaxation at the resort.
The combination of adventure and leisure makes the experience particularly suitable for couples and travelers looking to add an active excursion to an otherwise relaxing beach vacation.
Exploring Mui Ne Beyond the Beach
The Windswept Adrenaline Tour is part of The Anam Mui Ne’s newly introduced Seasons of Mui Ne program.
The collection of seasonal excursions and activities is designed to showcase the destination throughout the year, highlighting its natural attractions, outdoor adventures, and cultural heritage.
While Mui Ne is especially popular with watersports enthusiasts, the resort’s new approach encourages visitors to connect with the destination through experiences that extend beyond traditional beachfront relaxation.
For travelers discovering Vietnam’s coastline, the seasonal kitesurfing spectacle offers another compelling reason to include Mui Ne in their itinerary.
