The Leela Palaces, Hotels and Resorts has launched its latest brand film paying tribute to the legacy of celebrated sarod maestros Amaan Ali Bangash and Ayaan Ali Bangash, set against the timeless architecture of The Leela Palace Chennai.
This new film explores the idea that legacy is respected, refined, and re-lived each day. As the brothers move through the corridors of the palace, they reflect on their own values and lineage that resonate with the heritage of the Leela brand. Through intimate vignettes—from their quiet rehearsal in the courtyard to a shared meal at Jamavar—the film captures a way of being: one where tradition and modernity exist in harmony.
This film is part of The Leela’s ongoing efforts to spotlight India’s rich cultural capital through stories that move beyond the visual, into the realm of feeling. It will be released across The Leela’s digital platforms and shared globally with audiences in India, the United States, the United Kingdom, the GCC, and Russia. A series of cutdowns will also run across paid media and social channels, extending the reach and resonance of the narrative.
“This was not just a film. It felt like a homecoming,” said Ayaan Ali Bangash. “The Leela Palace Chennai reminded us of the spaces we grew up in—filled with warmth, rigour and reverence. Everything from the welcome to the architecture carried a certain discipline… a grace.” Amaan Ali Bangash added, “The act of arriving and being received with such intention… it resonates with the way we approach our music. Every note, every gesture must have meaning. The Leela understands that.”
“At The Leela, we have always believed that true luxury is not static—it lives, it evolves, and it draws its strength from legacy,” said Anjali Mehra, Executive Vice President – Brand and Communications, The Leela Palaces, Hotels and Resorts. “This film is a tribute to that very idea. Amaan and Ayaan bring not just their music, but their philosophy of life into our space. And what emerges is a deeply Indian story—quiet, powerful, and timeless.”
