Four Seasons Resort Bora Bora has been named Best Overall Overwater Bungalow in the World by Brides.
Each of the Resort’s 108 one- and two-bedroom overwater bungalow suites has been recently refreshed, reflecting a more contemporary Polynesian feel, complete with new furniture, fixtures, lighting, and technology. Measuring between 1,080 and 2,228 square feet (100-206 square metres), these suites offer a pull-out sofa bed in the living area. Located on branching piers that extend into the heart of Bora Bora’s inner lagoon at one of its most serene points, guests can view schools of fish below (and even swim among them from their private berth) or gaze above into the star-filled South Pacific night. For a most premium stay, 27 of these accommodations offer their own plunge pool. Designed sustainably, these suites are defined by the natural light and rhythm of the lagoon, with pandanus leaves overhanging on all sides for cover from the tropical sun. Inside, hardwood floors and walls are stained in a light palette that suggests driftwood or coral, while small lagoon windows fill the space with magical, turquoise-tinted sunlight as it reflects off the water. Each bungalow contains two flat-screen televisions and video-on-demand, and are appointed with framed indigenous artifacts, from fishing lures fashioned from mother-of-pearl to fans made of coconut palms. All signature Four Seasons beds feature panoramic views of the lagoon, as do the large soaking tubs, overlooking the lagoon. Large sundecks provide loungers, a covered dining area, a ladder to the water below and a rinsing shower. Additionally, solar panels on each bungalow’s roof, provide a natural and sustainable power source for heating water. These accommodations also showcase bath amenities by Panpuri.
“We are so pleased to be recognized by Brides as offering the best overwater bungalows in the world,” says Adrien Harel, Resort Manager of Four Seasons Resort Bora Bora. “With our recent property-wide enhancement and our dedicated team of service professionals, this place has never been better.”
