Azulik Residences Proposes Soulful Living in the Heart of the Mayan Jungle

AZULIK Residences represents the evolution of a philosophy that understands architecture as a bridge between body and earth. Inspired by ancestral knowledge, conceived by Roth Architecture, and enriched by art commissioned by SFER IK, this enclave offers a serene, regenerative, and deeply aesthetic lifestyle designed to reconnect with the essential.

Born at the intersection of organic architecture, art, and connection with nature, AZULIK Residences is a real estate development that extends the vision of the iconic AZULIK hotel into the residential realm. Taking an approach that prioritizes integrated design, sensory experience, and the spirituality of its surroundings, this community redefines contemporary living in the Mayan jungle. With its 84 apartments and a panoply of wellness- focused services, it proposes a new mode of living, in intimate relationship with the earth and in harmony with a community guided by values of sustainability, creativity, and personal transformation.

AZULIK Residences is a natural evolution of the renowned Tulum refuge, with its more than two decades of history. Located just steps from the hotel, this new residential development—designed by Roth Architecture—translates its sensory and holistic vision into the sphere of housing. It proposes a lifestyle attuned to nature, inspired by ancestral knowledge, and guided by a profound artistic sensitivity. From the beginning, every decision has been marked by a symbolic, ecological, and spiritual commitment, shaping a project that looks to the future with intention and respect.

The development is set on 1.5 hectares, with four towers housing residences ranging from 70 to 300 m². Each unit is designed to foster a harmonious dialogue between interior and natural surroundings: private terraces, rooftops with plunge pools, fire pits, and open views of the jungle create a comfort- oriented experience. Interiors—crafted by Roth Design—integrate natural materials, organic textures, and a carefully curated selection of artisanal pieces and commissioned artworks by SFER IK, building a visual language that dialogues with the biomorphic architecture of its sister project, AZULIK hotel.

AZULIK Residences is more than just a collection of homes; it is a community that integrates daily life with a spiritual and ceremonial dimension. Its privileged location—the closest to the Caribbean Sea within Tulum’s urban plan—fosters a direct connection with the coast’s energy and the operational ecosystem of the AZULIK hotel. This proximity enriches residents’ experience, allowing participation in ceremonies at the House of Ancestral Medicine, enjoying the gastronomy of Kin Toh, Tseen Ja, and Jungle Cuisine, or exploring immersive art spaces at SFER IK Tulum and SFER IK Uh May. In this way, private life connects with a network of sensory and spiritual experiences that transcend the residential and shape a new lifestyle.

Each apartment features a living-dining room, one or two bedrooms, functional utility rooms, and generous terraces with carefully selected finishes to enhance sensory comfort. Larger typologies include rooftops with reflecting pools, contemplation areas, and fire pits designed as spaces for pause, intimate gatherings, or discreet celebrations. The interior architecture avoids excessive ornamentation, opting for a sober, tactile, and enveloping language where materials—tropical woods, natural fibers, artisanal ceramics—become channels of connection with the environment, privileging natural light, cross ventilation, and privacy without isolating residents from their community.

The construction consciously responds to the surrounding context. Its formal grammar—organic, nonlinear, and intuitive—arises from a detailed study of the terrain, slopes, winds, and vegetation. Rather than imposing itself, the architecture adapts, observes, and respects. The use of native materials such as local wood, limestone, and bejuco follows both an aesthetic logic and a sustainable intent. Sculptural walls, natural roofs, and open circulation evoke vernacular building traditions and propose architecture that acts as a bridge between body and earth, memory and invention.

Amenities have been arranged with precision and restraint, following a logic that prioritizes experience over ostentation. Pools intertwined with reflecting ponds, oxygenating waterfalls, vegetative paths, and private gardens create a spatial composition flowing between intimate and shared spaces. An organically shaped restaurant, a Jungle Gym inspired by natural structures, an open-air Yoga Shala, and a ceremonial Fire Pit complete the offering. Beyond functionality, these spaces invite gathering, regeneration, and community living, in harmony with the principles of integral well-being governing the entire complex.

Additionally, each apartment may offer personalized services, ensuring a frictionless stay with discreet and efficient attention. This combination of belonging, care, and flexibility positions the development as an investment with tangible, symbolic, and emotional returns.

AZULIK Residences embraces the visionary spirit of its origin and translates it into the world of living spaces, integrating architecture, aesthetic sensitivity, well-being, and sustainability in an unprecedented real estate proposal. In an environment marked by housing standardization, this enclave advocates a different model: living as a conscious act, as a way of caring for the environment, and as a search for balance between the ancestral and the contemporary. More than a residential complex, it is a spatial declaration of principles. Every corner is part of a symbiotic system where spirituality, art, and habitat coexist naturally. A place where architecture not only shelters but inspires; where materials not only build but communicate; where the present is lived with attention, respect, and the certainty of leaving a legacy.

The first phase will be delivered in early 2026, marking the beginning of a new community rooted in the AZULIK legacy. Currently, more than 50% of the units have been sold, consolidating the enthusiasm the project has generated even before its delivery.
