Heritage Expeditions Adding Four New Departures to 2027 Kiwi Explorer Season

Pioneering small-ship expedition cruise company Heritage Expeditions has added four new departures to its 2027 Kiwi Cruise Season release due to overwhelming guest interest.

The family-owned and operated cruise company’s Commercial Director and Expedition Leader Aaron Russ said the increased 2027 season of Kiwi voyages aboard 18-guest expedition yacht Heritage Explorer was the result of growing interest in authentic explorations of some of New Zealand’s wildest and most remote destinations with their intrepid guests.

“We are seeing real growth from guests both domestically and internationally in responsibly exploring New Zealand’s world-class remote coastlines, sounds, fiords, islands and national parks,” he said.

“Our guests are showing a particularly interest in our unique style of in-depth, immersive, educational explorations of New Zealand’s harder to reach destinations Heritage Expeditions offer.”

Heritage Expeditions new 2027 season has added two additional sailings each of its 5-day voyage Unseen Queen Charlotte Sound: A Walking Cruise of Queen Charlotte Sound and 7-day Southern Fiords Discovery: A Deep Exploration of Fiordland’s Southern Fiords voyage.

“Our 2027 season continues Heritage Expeditions pioneering, 40-year plus tradition of intimate explorations of rarely-visited New Zealand destinations accessible only by sea including Fiordland, Stewart and Ulva Islands, and Marlborough Sounds and Abel Tasman National Park aboard our luxurious expedition yacht Heritage Explorer,” he said.

“Purpose-built in New Zealand by Carey’s Boatyard in Picton, Heritage Explorercombines comfort and refined surrounds with nimble manoeuvrability allowing navigations of narrow waterways, fiords and island clusters off limits to larger vessels.”

The additional departures follows two brand new voyages Cherry Blossoms of Japan: A 12-day Spring Voyage from Tokyo to Osaka, including Busan, South Korea and Indonesia’s Forgotten Islands: An Expedition Cruise through Indonesia & Borneo on Heritage Expeditions flagship Heritage Adventurer and an additional sailing of Kimberley Explorer: Expedition Cruising Australia’s Iconic Kimberley Coast released earlier this year.
