From January 29 to February 2, 2026, during the dark Nordic winter, Copenhagen will become the epicenter of the global gastronomic community. More than 60 chefs from the very top tier of international cuisine, all of them ranked on the Top 100 list curated by The World’s 50 Best Restaurants, will come together for a unique collaboration. In total, restaurants from 26 countries and six continents.
“I see such creativity, knowledge, and resilience among my colleagues in the culinary world, and to be able to share it with the guests at Alchemist and a wider audience in Copenhagen is a dream come true. I hope the event will resonate and have a meaningful impact both here in Denmark and throughout the world,” says Rasmus Munk, founder and head chef of Alchemist, and the initiator of CONVERGENCE.
Chefs from all over the world
Convergence means ‘things or ideas that come together’. Opposed to divergence and polarization, the event invites us to move forward together. Chefs will arrive from all over the world, including established gastronomic hubs such as New York, Barcelona, Bangkok, and Tokyo, as well as destinations like Lima, Cape Town, Mumbai, Quito, and Queenstown, creating a truly global and diverse exchange of culinary voices.
Each evening, 12+ guest restaurants and bars will present their most iconic signature dishes and cocktails, offering an extraordinary opportunity to experience flavors, techniques, and philosophies from every corner of the world. These creations will be served in Alchemist’s immersive universe, intermingled with dishes from Alchemist.

A catalyst for inspiration and dialogue
While the scale of Convergence may seem audacious, it is ambition with intention. The idea behind the event is to make the community and knowledge at the very top of global gastronomy more accessible. The Danish capital, home to several of the world’s best restaurants, will naturally form a hub where culinary ideas, collaboration, and cultural exchange will blossom.
Beyond the dinners at Alchemist, Convergence will expand into a symposium program featuring talks, discussions, and activities designed to connect the world’s culinary elite with the broader society. The program aims to engage not only restaurateurs and chefs but also culinary students, school children and their teachers, food producers and artisans, as well as the general public.
“We are planning for this to be a yearly event, supercharging us with knowledge and inspiration, and using Alchemist as a beacon for dialogue, collaboration, and cultural exchange across gastronomy, art, and society”, says Rasmus Munk.
