WHAT TO DO
Known as the foodie capital of the South-West, Wells Food Festival, returns for its 10th year. This family friendly festival showcases artisan food and drink from over 150 local traders. Headline sponsor (for the fourth year running) Charlie Bigham’s will be hosting a range of activities this year, including a take on the much-loved tv show Ready Steady Cook, joined by celebrity chef and Founder of Wahaca, Thomasina Miers. For those dabbling in their wine tasting skills, three exclusive tasting sessions will be on offer from English Wines, whilst little ones can experience cookery workshops and fun trails round the site. All proceeds from the festival will go towards Chefs in Schools, a charity initiative who fuel the future by transforming school food and food education, training kitchen teams to serve great school lunches.
