Fairmont Hotel Vancouver Welcomes Pop Art Inspired Afternoon Tea Beginning May 25

On Thursday, May 25, Notch8 at Fairmont Hotel Vancouver will launch its next themed Afternoon Tea service, inspired by the bold and colourful world of pop art.

The new uniquely artistic tea service, aptly named Art of Afternoon Tea will be led under the culinary direction of Notch8 Head Chef Danai Hongwanishkul, and venue design by Koncept Events. Featuring avant-garde decor, dishes, and cocktails inspired by some of the most iconic pop art pieces of the 20th century, each menu item is crafted to reflect the colours, shapes, textures, and themes of the visual pop art movement.

From vibrant “tomato soup,” and a playful ‘blank canvas’ cheesecake with edible paints, to cocktails composed in artistic glassware, every dish and drink is a work of art. Guests can expect bright pops of colour, bold patterns and designs throughout the tea room and menu, creating an immersive experience for all who visit.

The Art of Afternoon Tea will be available from Thursday, May 25 through Monday, September 4 with seatings held Wednesday through Sunday and statutory holiday Mondays at 11:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m., and 3:00 p.m. The special Art of Afternoon Tea experience is available for $74.00 per person ($40.00 for children 12 and under) and begins with a selection of loose-leaf tea, along with sweet and savoury bites to complement the theme’s captivating canvas. Creative cocktails and wines are available as optional add-ons to the experience.
