London in the Sun presented by EFG London Jazz Festival will take place from the 30th of September to the 3rd October providing the perfect excuse for a post-summer getaway and last chance to soak up the warming Turkish sun before the end of the season. This four-day festival welcomes music lovers and artists from all over the world to celebrate the world of Jazz. On the first afternoon, music enthusiasts can get involved in a drumming workshop with Abbas Dodoo, a professional musician, performer and music teacher who has played with the likes of Jazz icon Van Morrison. After spending the day exploring the resort, lounging by the pool or taking part in one of Hillside’s exciting water sports activities, guests can spend their evening trying out Jazz Yoga with live music from the talented Marysia Osu, a London based harpist, where they can relax and move to the calming sounds of the harp whilst looking out onto the waves of the adults-only Silent Beach.
The second day of London in the Sun will allow newbies and expert drummers the chance to learn top skills and tricks of the trade, which they can show off in a concert to the resort on Sunday night. After spending the afternoon drumming, guests can dance to the beats of the talented Yazmin Lacey. An alternative Jazz singer and songwriter from London, will also be performing on the Main Beach, with her soft tones filling up the evening sky which can be enjoyed whilst sipping on a delicious sundowner cocktail. On the third day, music enthusiasts can head back to the Silent Beach for an exclusive concert on the golden sands and gazing out to the turquoise Turkish waters from Rosie Frater Taylor, a 23 year-old singer, songwriter and guitarist who combines jazz, folk, pop and soul together to create a unique sound. Those looking to beat Monday blues and chase sunsets, can head over for a sunset boat tour around Kalemya Bay with Jelly Cleaver, a guitarist, producer, and singer-songwriter from South London.
