Four Seasons Yachts is turning the uninterrupted days of a transatlantic crossing into an opportunity for a more focused approach to wellness.
From November 8 to 16, 2026, the inaugural transatlantic voyage of Four Seasons I will host The Lanserhof Reset, an eight-day wellness residency developed in partnership with European medical wellness brand Lanserhof.
The program will introduce personalized consultations, restorative treatments, guided movement and nutritional support as the yacht relocates from the Mediterranean for its first Caribbean season.
Rather than positioning wellness as an occasional spa appointment, the residency is designed to make it part of the rhythm of the entire crossing.
An Eight-Day Personalized Wellness Program
The Lanserhof Reset begins with an individual consultation at the yacht’s medical center. Specialists will then develop a program reflecting each participant’s personal needs and wellness goals.
Scheduled elements may include:
- One-on-one consultations
- Craniosacral treatments
- Fitness and movement sessions
- Guided breathwork
- Sound bath experiences
- Nutritional guidance
- Restorative therapies
Participants will also be introduced to elements of Lanserhof’s Energy Cuisine philosophy, including chlorophyll-based drinks and food choices intended to complement the broader program.
Lanserhof was founded in Austria in 1984 and has become known for combining medical diagnostics with nutrition, movement, regenerative treatments and complementary therapies. Its established wellness resorts are located in Lans, Austria, and Tegernsee and Sylt, Germany.
The Four Seasons collaboration marks the first time the Lanserhof concept has been presented as a complete residency at sea.
Wellness Experiences for Other Guests
Although the core Lanserhof Reset is a personalized eight-day program, aspects of the residency will be available to other guests sailing aboard Four Seasons I.
Daily programming is expected to include expert-led discussions, wellness classes and specially developed culinary choices. Guests will also have access to nutritionists, personal trainers and holistic therapists during the crossing.
This wider programming should make it possible for travelers to explore individual elements of the Lanserhof approach without committing to the complete residency.
The distinction is important. Some guests may want an intensive program organized around personal consultations and treatments, while others may prefer to join a breathwork session, attend a wellness talk or make more considered choices at mealtimes.
Why a Transatlantic Crossing Works for Wellness
A transatlantic voyage offers something that can be difficult to find on a port-intensive cruise: time.
With several consecutive days at sea, guests do not have to balance wellness appointments against sightseeing tours, early departures and busy days ashore. Instead, the crossing creates space for regular sessions, rest and gradual changes in routine.
That slower pace also provides an opportunity to disconnect from daily demands. Participants can follow a structured program without immediately returning to work, household responsibilities or a constant stream of notifications.
Wellness-focused crossings are becoming a more visible part of luxury ocean travel. DRIFT has also explored the Ocean Rebirth wellness retreat aboard Orient Express Corinthian, another program using extended days at sea to combine movement, nutrition, mindfulness and restorative treatments.
These voyages suggest that the transatlantic crossing is being reconsidered as more than transportation between two cruise seasons. The sea days themselves are becoming the central experience.
Inside L’Oceana Spa
The Lanserhof residency will complement the year-round facilities at L’Oceana Spa, the principal wellness space aboard Four Seasons I.
Inspired by the sea and natural elements, the spa incorporates traditional treatments alongside contemporary recovery technologies. Facilities and services include a hammam, thermal circuit, hydrotherapy, infrared therapy and cryotherapy.
Cryotherapy uses brief exposure to very cold temperatures and is often associated with athletic recovery, while infrared treatments use controlled heat. Travelers interested in these or other specialized therapies should discuss their suitability with qualified medical professionals, particularly if they have an existing health condition.
The yacht also has a fitness center for cardio, strength training and stretching. Nutritionists, personal trainers and holistic therapists participating in the residency will add another layer of guidance during the Atlantic voyage.
A Different Kind of Four Seasons Voyage
Four Seasons I entered service in March 2026 as the first vessel in the Four Seasons Yachts collection. Unlike a conventional large cruise ship, it has been designed around spacious, residential-style suites and a more intimate approach to service.
The yacht has 95 suites, each with floor-to-ceiling windows and a private terrace. Its most distinctive public feature is a transverse marina that opens across the vessel, creating a platform close to the water for swimming, watersports and relaxation when conditions permit.
Readers can learn more about that feature in DRIFT’s guide to Marina Days aboard Four Seasons I.
Dining, spa experiences and time outdoors are intended to be central to life aboard the yacht. During The Lanserhof Reset, those existing elements will be coordinated with the wellness residency, allowing treatments, movement, meals and rest to become part of a connected daily routine.
The Growth of Wellness Travel at Sea
Cruise lines and luxury yacht operators are investing more heavily in wellness experiences that go beyond massages and fitness classes.
New vessels are introducing thermal circuits, recovery treatments, sleep-focused programs and dedicated wellness menus. Some operators are also collaborating with established health resorts and beauty brands to create multi-day retreats.
For travelers, the attraction is the opportunity to combine a vacation with structured time devoted to personal well-being. The most useful programs are those that offer realistic guidance travelers can continue to follow after returning home, rather than promising dramatic or immediate results.
The Lanserhof Reset reflects this shift toward more personalized wellness at sea. Its combination of consultations, movement, nutrition and restorative therapies is designed to give participants a framework for examining their routines while benefiting from the slower pace of an ocean crossing.
When the Lanserhof Reset Takes Place
The Lanserhof Reset will be offered aboard Four Seasons I from November 8 to 16, 2026, during the yacht’s inaugural transatlantic crossing from the Mediterranean toward the Caribbean.
Following the crossing, Four Seasons I will begin its first Caribbean season. Details about the residency and upcoming itineraries are available through the Four Seasons Yachts website.
For travelers who find conventional cruises too busy, an Atlantic crossing built around wellness may offer a compelling alternative: fewer external distractions, more time at sea and a daily schedule designed around movement, recovery and rest.
