Coppa Club celebrates the start of the long-awaited summer season at their Streatley-on-Thames Clubhouse, The Swan at Streatley. Designed for locals and visitors to make the most of sun-drenched days and longer evenings, The Swan at Streatley is unveiling its new program to make the summer memorable with a packed schedule from May to September. To kick things off with a splash, The Swan at Streatley hosts a ‘Summer Weekend Launch’ from Friday 17th to Sunday 19th May with exclusive showcase events and activities.
The Swan at Streatley’s New Summer Offering
The Swan at Streatley’s new summer pop up, an alfresco lobster bar, will serve freshly prepared grilled lobster with a glass of sparkling Nyetimber or frozen margarita. Back by popular demand is The Swan’s fleet of electric motor boats that glide silently along one of the most picturesque stretches of the river. And in true Coppa style, guests can enhance their stay with a signature picnic hamper filled with quintessentially British classics from the latest Café ‘Grab & Go’ menu.
Evening events and workshops include regular live lounges and outdoor cinema screenings. As ever, The Swan’s renowned wellness and fitness activities will be available, including wild swimming with Swims & Things, stand-up paddle boarding with SUP Life, and yoga with Grace & Gravity. Special summer staycation offers will appeal to couples, friends, families and four-legged visitors too.
The Swan at Streatley’s Summer Weekend Launch: 17th – 19th May
Kicking the weekend off with a bang (or boom), is the outdoor cinema screening of Top Gun: Maverick, where guests can kick back and order drinks and BBQ food to their deckchair.
Saturday’s activities include Yoga on the Lawn, stand-up paddle boarding taster sessions and boat rides, and the debut of the new lobster bar. Pets provide the entertainment in the afternoon with the launch of ‘Top Dogs of Streatley’ in partnership with Denzels where dogs of all shapes and sizes can enter categories including ‘Best Trick’, ‘Most Like Owner’, ‘Waggiest Tail’ and ‘Best Puppy Eyes’.
Sunday sees the weekend draw to a close with a traditional wild swim, followed by a ‘Meet the Author’ workshop with Libby Page, bestselling author of The Lido. Page, a keen wild swimmer herself, will be discussing her sequel to The Lido, The Lifeline. Jazz on the Lawn rounds off the weekend, accompanied by cocktails from the riverside bar.
