Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer is reviving the art of chic and glamourous partying that made its legend, with the opening of new beach club venue, Club la Vigie Monte-Carlo and open-air cabaret restaurant Maona Monte-Carlo.
Since opening on 7 June, la Pointe de la Vigie transforms into a private adults-only beach club from noon to 8PM offering a natural unspoilt setting on the seafront. Club La Vigie Monte-Carlo, with subtle nods to classic beach resorts in its design, evokes a decadent, party vibe whilst offering a selection of more intimate spaces for its glamourous clientele with five romantic bungalows tucked away among the pines. Club La Vigie combines a beach club feel at the water’s edge with Mediterranean sharing plates from two Michelin-starred chef Marcel Ravin, creative cocktails, and a cutting-edge musical program.
On 30 June, atop the rocks of Monte-Carlo Beach, Maona Monte-Carlo will bring together two legendary decades: the 60s and 70s, and their carefree and irreverent breath of freedom. The new open-air summer cabaret restaurant embodies the most iconic personalities of the day who spent their summers in Monaco, with a modern twist on the Principality’s glamorous heritage. ‘Ma’, as in Maria Callas and ‘Ona’ as in Aristotle Onassis, the celebrities behind the first ever Maona in 1962, an iconic Riviera club just a stone’s throw away, sets the tone for the new venue.
Diners can enjoy menus inspired by local family recipes, with highlights including gambas flavored with Pastis, Taglioni at capon with majoram and lemon, and peache melba for dessert, in honor of Auguste Escoffier who left his mark on Monaco’s culinary heritage. Accompanying the menu will be an innovative cocktail selection curated by expert mixologist Giancarlo Macino at Bar Sauvage, featuring rare spirits from the famous eras and a daily rotating program of live music from 7PM to 2AM.
