It’s the summer of the great outdoors. Indoor quarantining is over and the craving to be outside and spend time surrounded by nature is stronger than ever. To ensure that their guests can enjoy all aspects of Mother Nature on the One Happy Island, the Aruba Marriott Resort & Stellaris Casino has launched a new ‘In The Elements’ experience to connect guests with the four elements – fire, earth, water, and air. Here’s a look at all the al fresco activities included:
Earth – Get back to Earth’s sandy roots with a relaxing picnic on the beach hosted by Picnic Aruba. Giving the classic picnic a modern twist, guests can lounge on the soft sandy shores of the beach while enjoying a range of delicious bites and sipping on a chilled bottle of Grand Moet. Take in Earth’s charm with this toes-in-the-sand luxury experience, complete with a picture-perfect Aruban sunset.
Water – Set sail and explore the depths of the Caribbean Sea with a morning snorkel cruise courtesy of De Palm Tours. Get a new take of the One Happy Island aboard the spacious Palm Please, a seven-foot-long and 40-foot-wide catamaran. The four-hour journey takes guests to the Antilla Shipwreck, one of the largest in the Caribbean, then makes way to the Arashi Reef for an up-close look at marine life, complete with a dip in Boca Catalina, a hidden bay in the famous Malmok Beach. Post cruise, continue the water element experience at the resort’s beach with a reserved palapa.
Air – The One Happy Island’s constant trade winds make Aruba an ideal spot for Windsurfing. In fact, each July the Aruba Hi-Winds windsurfing competition takes place, drawing professional windsurfers from all corners of the globe. Feel the rush of the wind with a windsurfing lesson hosted by Vela Aruba. Just steps away from the resort, Vela Aruba’s magic spot on the beach makes windsurf dreams a reality with a tailored lesson for first timers and pros alike. Guests will learn all about wind principles and safety measures before setting sail and basking in the stunning scenery.
Fire – Ignite the night at The Lobby, one of the resort’s can’t miss hotspots for a Smoking Old Fashioned cocktail demonstration. Enjoy a personalized cocktail experience as the bartender puts a fiery spin on the traditional Old Fashioned with bourbon, spiced syrup, and dashes of Angostura bitters by using a decanter to smoke the flavors. The cocktail’s then garnished with a cinnamon stick and orange twist to add some extra flare.
For additional doses of nature-inspired fun, there’s plenty more to enjoy at the 414-room resort. Take a dip at the resort’s two pools, go off-road with a jeep tour around the rugged desert side of the island, explore the Natural Pool or enjoy a range of water sports including stand-up paddle boarding, kayaking, kite surfing and more.
