Six Senses La Sagesse has introduced the Awaken Journey, a new wellness experience combining movement, mindfulness, time in nature and sleep-focused rituals on Grenada’s southeastern coast.

Available through the end of 2026, the program is woven throughout a guest’s stay rather than confined to a single spa appointment. Activities range from sunrise yoga and guided coastal walks to personalized fitness planning and restorative treatments.

The Awaken Journey expands the wellness offerings already available at Six Senses La Sagesse while drawing inspiration from Grenada’s tropical landscapes, local botanicals and unhurried island rhythm.

Wellness from Morning to Evening

The experience begins in the morning with a guided movement session and sunrise yoga. Later activities take guests outside the resort’s spa and into the surrounding coastal landscape.

A guided beach grounding walk encourages participants to slow down and pay closer attention to the natural environment. A cliffside breathwork session continues the focus on mindfulness, with the sound of the sea and views of Grenada’s coastline providing the setting.

In the evening, guests can take part in a private fire ritual designed as a reflective conclusion to the day.

Rather than filling every hour with scheduled activities, the journey leaves space for rest, time beside the water and independent exploration.

“Grenada is a place that invites visitors to slow down and reconnect,” said Six Senses La Sagesse General Manager George Vlachopoulos. “With the Awaken Journey, we invite guests to do just that: prioritize themselves and place holistic wellness at the forefront of their stay.”

A Personalized Approach to Movement

A customized fitness plan is included as part of the Awaken Journey. Programming can be adapted to suit a participant’s interests and current fitness level, with an emphasis on enjoyable, sustainable movement rather than intensity.

The resort’s fitness facilities offer space for both guided and independent sessions. Yoga, mobility work and time outdoors can also be incorporated into the experience.

This personalized approach allows guests to create a wellness stay that feels restorative rather than overly scheduled. Someone interested primarily in relaxation may choose a gentler pace, while a more active traveler can include additional movement sessions.

Spa Treatments Inspired by Grenada

The journey includes a signature treatment at Six Senses Spa, where the menu combines the brand’s wellness approach with ingredients and traditions inspired by Grenada.

The spa is designed in the style of a Caribbean village and faces a lagoon at the center of the resort. Treatment spaces are connected by landscaped paths, reflecting the property’s emphasis on indoor-outdoor living.

Locally influenced treatments include the Caribbean Cleansing Ritual, a three-hour experience incorporating several spa therapies, and Journey to Repose, a full-body treatment centered on relaxation.

The resort also offers longer programs focused on subjects such as sleep, yoga, recovery and general fitness. Guests can select individual treatments or integrate several activities into a multi-day stay.

Six Senses also operates a Biohack Recovery Lounge with technology-supported recovery experiences. These services are presented as optional additions to the resort’s conventional treatments, movement classes and relaxation facilities rather than substitutes for medical care.

Supporting Better Rest While Traveling

Sleep is another central part of the Awaken Journey.

The Sleep With Six Senses turndown service includes calming tea and pillow mist, helping create a consistent evening routine during the stay. The intention is to complement active days with a quieter nighttime environment.

Sleep can easily become disrupted while traveling because of unfamiliar surroundings, changing schedules and time differences. By incorporating evening rituals into the program, the resort aims to make rest part of the overall wellness experience rather than something considered only at the end of the day.

The journey concludes with a wellness gift intended to help guests carry elements of the experience into their routine at home.

Dining at Callaloo

Daily breakfast is served at Callaloo, one of the resort’s principal restaurants.

The restaurant takes its name from a leafy vegetable widely used in Caribbean cooking. Its menus emphasize local and seasonal ingredients, connecting the dining experience with Grenada’s agricultural traditions.

Known as the Spice Island, Grenada produces nutmeg, cinnamon, cloves, cocoa and other tropical crops. These ingredients influence food and wellness experiences throughout Six Senses La Sagesse.

The resort is home to three restaurants, a café and a sushi venue, offering both Grenadian and international dishes. Menus accommodate a range of dietary preferences without requiring guests to follow a restrictive wellness diet.

Inside Six Senses La Sagesse

Six Senses La Sagesse occupies 38 acres between the protected waters of La Sagesse Bay and the Atlantic-facing L’Anse Pere coastline.

The resort has 56 pool suites and 15 villas ranging from one to four bedrooms. Natural, renewable and repurposed materials appear throughout the accommodations, which are influenced by traditional Caribbean architecture.

Every pool suite opens onto a private terrace and plunge pool. Villas occupy hillside or oceanfront locations, while the largest four-bedroom residences provide broad views from an elevated bluff.

Winding paths, native plants and landscaped gardens connect the accommodations with the spa, restaurants and waterfront areas.

The resort opened in 2024 and has since received a MICHELIN Key as part of the guide’s hotel selection.

Exploring Grenada Beyond the Resort

Wellness travelers can also find restorative experiences beyond the property.

Grenada’s mountainous interior contains waterfalls, rainforest trails and spice estates, while the coastline offers quiet bays and clear Caribbean water. The island’s underwater sculpture park combines marine conservation with an unusual artistic attraction accessible through guided excursions.

The resort’s location on the less-developed southeastern coast provides a peaceful base while remaining within reach of the island’s cultural and natural attractions.

A Wellness Experience Rooted in Place

The Awaken Journey reflects a broader shift in wellness travel away from isolated spa treatments and toward experiences that connect movement, rest, nature and destination.

At Six Senses La Sagesse, Grenada’s coastline and tropical environment become central parts of the program. Yoga begins at sunrise, mindfulness moves onto the beach and evenings conclude with quiet rituals designed to ease the transition into rest.

The result is a flexible wellness experience that encourages guests to slow down while discovering a different side of Grenada’s Spice Island.
