Celebrating its first festive season following the completion of a stunning $60 Million restoration, Christmas at the Empress invites guests and locals to create a new holiday tradition at Vancouver Island’s Castle on the Coast.

Enjoy traditional afternoon tea with famous seasonal offerings and classic desserts. To make it extra special, Festive Champagne Afternoon Tea includes a glass of Veuve Clicquot champagne to elevate the experience. Book afternoon tea on December 16, 17, 23 and 24, and enjoy live carolers singing Christmas favourites in the Lobby Lounge.
Take the chill off on the veranda with a selection of hot beverages in Christmas spirit and well known holiday bites while delighting in s’mores around a fire. With the most spectacular views of the Inner Harbour, this special holiday indulgence is only available Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings until December 23rd on the Fairmont Empress’ Winter Veranda.
Eat, drink and be merry in Q Bar for the Season of Joy Drinks, where skilled Empress mixologists are preparing warm and cold modern interpretations of classic festive cocktails, from 11:00 am to 12:00 am, until January 2nd.
Ring in the New Year in royal style in Q at the Empress and the Crystal Ballroom. In Q, celebrate the New Year with a five-course set menu with wine pairing option, followed by a grand finale dessert buffet in Lobby Lounge. In the iconic Crystal Ballroom, a modern, Chef-attended festive buffet with live music and cash bar. After dinner, dance in the new year with live music at the most elegant New Year’s Eve party in Canada’s most romantic city with a live performance by local jazz and pop singer, Amanda Woods.
And to start the New Year off right, Fairmont Empress is having a Resolution Brunch on January 1, 2018 from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm. The best brunch in town, filled with everything sweet and savoury to kick off a new year, will be offered in the hotel’s lower lobby.
