The Adria hotel is pleased to announce that it has become a member of Leading Hotels of the World, a prestige collection of over 400 independent, luxury hotels across 80 countries. This announcement follows the hotels recent news of becoming the first UK hotel to join the Swiss Bürgenstock Collection.
The Adria is an elegant 1870s townhouse in the heart of leafy South Kensington, just a stone’s throw from Hyde Park and London’s leading museums and galleries. Having previously been a private residential home, The Adria was acquired by Katara Hospitality, parent company for the Bürgenstock Collection, in 2021. The property underwent a £1 million restoration, led by renowned hospitality interior design consultants Hirsch Bedner Associates (HBA), before opening its doors to the public in January 2022. With 24 boutique rooms and suites, The Adria offers a serene hideaway amid the bustle of central London. It possesses a contemporary luxury and antique style – as befits its 19th-century townhouse setting. The guest rooms seamlessly blend effortless design with modern convenience.
Gary Redmond, general manager at The Adria, adds: “We are thrilled to be joining Leading Hotels of The World, being placed alongside a group of the finest and most luxurious properties, is an exciting prospect for the hotel. Also joining the esteemed team at The Bürgenstock Collection, some of the most recognised properties within Europe and being able to learn from their expertise is exciting for the whole team at The Adria.”
