The 25th edition of Perú Mucho Gusto is set to take place from October 31 to November 3 in the country’s culinary capital of Lima. Last year, Perú’s premiere gastronomic gathering brought together more than 40,000 participants to taste traditional regional dishes and innovative modern cuisine over three days. PROMPERÚ first launched Perú Mucho Gusto in 2008. Since then, 23 editions have been held across 11 regions of the country, featuring more than 1,500 culinary exhibitors. The concept is similar to the former Mistura food festival, with attendees sampling dishes from various Peruvian regions at one location – from Northern delicacies to traditional Andean fare to Amazonian cuisines. Visitors can also savor Perú’s famed culinary fusion dishes developed over a long process of cultural exchange between the Spanish, African, Chinese, Japanese, and Italian settlers, among others.
