Val Thorens, France
Known to be one of the best and highest located party towns in the alps, you’ll certainly be spoilt for choice. Val Thorens kicks off around 2pm and you’ll certainly know about it with music echoing across the mountain from La Folie Douce and Bar 360 – two famous on-the-slope bars.
For the true party-goers, you can head to Malaysia, one of the biggest clubs in the Alps, which includes four bars, headline DJs and recent acts such as Martin Jensen and Afrojack.
Mayrhofen, Austria
If you’re travelling in a big group, look no further than Mayrhofen. With 30 plus slopeside bars hosting a range of fun events, you’ll fit right in. It also plays host to the famous annual Snowbombing Festival with live bands such as Chase & Status and Liam Gallagher. At the festival you’ll also find the Snowlympic Games which are played on the slopes that include sledge racing and the inaugural mountain tug of war.
Your night doesn’t end there either. Down in the village the pedestrianised street comes alive with pubs, bars and clubs entertaining you until the early hours of the morning.
Sauze, d’Oulx, Italy
Start your après session up at Capana Kind, where live bands and DJs perform, then head to the Village Café at the bottom of the home run. Grab a beer and get mingling in this atmospheric après bar. If you’re planning on partying all night, Maravallino’s is one of the busiest spots on the main street.
For a more chilled vibe, the sophisticated Lampioni’s wine bar in the old town serves some of the best Piemontese wines.
