Les Bordes Estate and Six Senses Launch Sales for Branded Residences in France’s Loire Valley

Les Bordes Estate and Six Senses are proud to announce that Six Senses Residences Loire Valley are now available for reservation. Nestled within the UNESCO World Heritage site in the heart of France’s famed Loire Valley, this exclusive collection of 52 distinctive homes represents an unprecedented lifestyle offering. The sales launch marks the inaugural phase of 12 homes, heralding a significant step in the realization of the fully permitted Six Senses Loire Valley, which also comprises a 50-key five-star hotel centered around the historical Château Bel-Air.

The hotel is planned to feature an 18,000-square-foot Six Senses Spa, along with indoor and outdoor pools, and a world-class gym and yoga studio. Moreover, the hotel will boast three restaurants, two bars, a pool bar, and much more. All are designed with a steadfast commitment to sustainability, wellness, and community—a shared ethos between Six Senses and Les Bordes Estate.

Conveniently located approximately 90 minutes south of Paris and only 20 minutes from the Château de Chambord, the three- to-seven-bedroom residential villas offer a rare opportunity for homeowners to join an exceptional private community. Spread across the spacious 1,400-acre woodland estate, residents will revel in an active, community-driven lifestyle. Here, the globally acclaimed and private Les Bordes Golf Club, open-air leisure pursuits, and the warm embrace of the region’s natural splendor and rich history await every homeowner.

Driss Benkirane, founder and managing partner of RoundShield, the private equity firm which owns the Estate, expressed, “Six Senses perfectly complements Les Bordes with its blend of unassuming luxury and wellness-centric services. Our collaboration to create these exquisite branded residences marks a momentous leap forward, where homeowners have access to the amenities and privileges of the resort while enjoying the intimacy, space, and personal touches of a private fully-serviced home on a vast estate. Les Bordes’s team looks forward to connecting with prospective owners and presenting them with the dynamic vision for this exclusive residential experience.”

Six Senses Residences Loire Valley range from 2,360 square feet to 7,125 square feet set on plots up to 1.72 acres, seamlessly integrating into the Sologne forest landscape. The architecture and design features refined elegance with a modern flair, showcasing exposed wooden roof beams accentuating the homes’ structural grace, locally sourced stone, and chimneys, seamlessly paying homage to the Loire Valley aesthetic.

Ownership of a branded residence may unlock the opportunity to enroll in a rental programme managed by Six Senses. Every residence features a pool with breathtaking views of the surrounding nature, while a suite of high-touch services, from concierge, childcare and private chefs to round-the-clock security, landscaping and housekeeping, redefine the notion of hospitality.

Six Senses Loire Valley is expected to offer a total of 50 hotel keys, located throughout the main hotel building, in the beautiful Château Bel-Air, and in forest lodges; the 52 branded residences will be nestled amid the estate’s historic grounds. The Six Senses Spa will be an integral part of the resort’s offering, and will embody a holistic well-being approach, offering signature services such as massages, facials, and body treatments, as well as holistic programs including sleep regimens, fitness classes, meditation, and more. The spa will be accompanied by indoor and outdoor pools, a gym, and a yoga studio. An organic garden will grow plants and herbs for locally inspired treatments and Alchemy Bar workshops.

Through a new organic kitchen garden and Earth Lab, residents and guests will be able to learn about the property’s conservation initiatives. Further, the culinary experience at Six Senses Loire Valley will showcase the region’s status as an acclaimed food and wine destination. The ground floor of the Estate’s beautifully preserved château will be transformed into a gastronomic restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating, a private dining area, a lounge bar, and a wine cellar for residents, guests, and – by reservation – the public.

“Les Bordes Estate is the perfect setting for a richly authentic Six Senses residential and hospitality concept,” said Neil Jacobs, CEO of Six Senses. “We are thrilled to be working with RoundShield to launch sales of these 52 branded residences and believe they embody everything Six Senses stands for. Homeowners will enjoy an uncompromising lifestyle centered on access to nature, emotional hospitality, privacy, and comfort—all within an iconic French countryside estate.”

Residents will have the ability to apply for the Les Bordes Country Club Membership which encompasses access to existing lakes, a white-sand beach, and recreational facilities, as well as the ability to apply for coveted membership to Les Bordes Golf Club, which affords access to the central Clubhouse and championship courses including GOLF Magazine’s World Top 100 New Course, an 18-hole course designed by celebrated golf architect, Gil Hanse, as well as the 72-par Old Course, widely considered to be the late Robert von Hagge’s masterpiece. Through homeownership, residents will have the ability to play golf on the whimsical Wild Piglet course, another Gil Hanse creation, which consists of 10 par-three holes that pay homage to some of the most iconic holes in the world. The Wild Piglet was ranked amongst the 25 finest par-three courses in the world by GOLF Magazine

Already home to one of the world’s most prestigious golf clubs with three world-ranked courses, the rolling fields and verdant woodland of Les Bordes now become an exclusive playground of tennis courts, equestrian facilities, a go-kart track, open-air archery, a charming petting farm, fishing lake, natural swimming lake and resident’s white sand beach with jetty, electric quad bike riding and meandering cycling trails. The Estate’s 15th-century priory will soon be renovated, with new elements added to create a piazza-style area on the edge of one of the Estate lakes, henceforth known as Le Village – a relaxed social hub for the Les Bordes Estate community. It will feature a restaurant with a large event space to hold functions, a café, a zero-waste shop, a wine bar, a dedicated clubhouse area with a games room, a vegetable garden, a bakery, an art gallery and workshop studio, a farmer’s market with local and artisanal products and much more.

The idyllic Loire Valley is among the most accessible regions to visit or own a second home for discerning residents from across the globe, with multiple airports nearby, including two private airports within proximity and convenient helicopter landing and takeoff access on Les Bordes Estate. Distinguished for its opulent châteaux, medieval towns, fine French cuisine, scenic rolling hills, and world-class vineyards, the destination provides endless opportunities for homeowners to be immersed in the rich history and culture of the region while having all the conveniences of a modern-day residential community.
